Could you throw some light on the subject of issue of Refund of IGST paid against export turnover. The refund applications submitted on portal but no action is taken so far by the Department.
Updation on the matter is needed.

Answer
Refund on account of export of goods to outside India is to be sanctioned by the Customs Authorities designated at the port of export. Since, department has taken a long time to designate the authorities to deal with the refunds, therefore, for quite some time sanctioning of refund could not be started. Now all the authorities are in place and they have started sanctioning refunds. Accordingly, you may soon start receiving refunds in your declared bank accounts at the port of export. .(REPLY dt. 6/2/2018)
